Hong Kong businessman buys US$15m black diamond iPhone 5

Forget Vertu and its smartphones made for the rich. Sure, the company may have just announced its first Android handset, but if you're a fan of Apple, there's really only one way to go--make your own or rather, pay someone to do it.

"Joe", a businessman from Hong Kong, commissioned British craftsman Stuart Hughes to do the job. According to CNN and Hughes' own Web site, Joe owned a 26-carat black diamond that has been in his family for generations.

After crafting a solid gold chassis, Hughes then added 600 white diamonds as decoration, and reserved the Home button to be adorned with the aforesaid black diamond.

The result is an iPhone worth more than what most mere mortals can earn in a lifetime, that also looks impossibly gaudy. If you're an Apple fanboy with way too much cash to toss around, this is probably how you should spend it, we guess.
