A new set of leaked images of the allegedly upcoming cheaper iPhone has surfaced online, showing multiple colour options
While rumours about the next-generation iPhone keep flying left, right and centre, the allegedly upcoming cheaper iPhone is also getting its fair share of attention. From analysts predicting dates for its launch to leaked images suggesting the design language, it has been in the news for the past few months. Now, another set of leaked images have surfaced online, giving credence to the speculation about multiple colour options.
The new images come from two sources, one from China and the other from France. The Chinese post on microblogging website Weibo claims that the images have been taken in aFoxconn factory and show the back panel of the cheaper variant comes in green colour.
French tech news website NoWhereElse, which has a credible record when it comes to leaks, showed photos of the back panel of the device in funky green, yellow and pink colours. These leaks are in line with rumours that the cheaper iPhone will be launched in several hues.
Both the images show the glossy back panel of the upcoming iPhone that seems to be made from polycarbonate plastic a la Nokia's Lumia range. On the top left corner is the camera and LED flash, the Apple logo is in the middle, while 'iPhone' is written at the bottom.
A recently leaked image of cheaper iPhone also showed a glossy back, the Lighting port and a bumper case surrounding the curved body.
Previously, it has been reported that Apple will go for multiple colour options for the cheaper iPhone, namely navy, gold orange, white, pink and green. Reports had suggested that the phone will be up for field test in June with about 1,000 units. It is rumoured that the handset will be priced between $300 and $400.
