iPad 5, iPad Mini 2: Apple Reportedly Drops Samsung for Next Generation Tablets Coming in 3Q12

Apple iPad is undoubtedly one of the best tablets in the market. Even Google's Nexus 10 was unable to stop the mighty iPad family. Day-by-day, the iPhone maker is getting stronger with its iPad as there is better response from the consumers.
In a recent development on the differences between Apple and Samsung, a report has claimed that the iPad manufacturer will not use the components from Samsung on its next generation tablets.
According to the report by iDownloadblog citing sources from Korea Economic Daily, Apple has sent requests for quotation for Retina display screens to companies including LG Display, Japan Display, Sharp and AU Optronics, excluding Samsung. Reportedly, Apple has inquired about the price quotations for particular components.
iPad 5, iPad Mini 2: Apple Reportedly Drops Samsung for Tablets

If the report is authentic, Apple seems to be distancing itself from Samsung by procuring crucial gadget components from alternative suppliers, thereby dropping the South Korean tech giant for its fifth-generation iPad and a second-generation iPad mini.
Both iPad 5 and iPad Mini are rumored to arrive later this year, allegedly sporting the high-resolution Retina display technology and sharing a light aluminum chassis with thinner appearance and chamfered edges.
According to the report, as this document is usually sent five-ten months prior to a product's launch to give suppliers ample time to deliver the order, it can be said that this is the first step of the component purchase process and a credible hint of the upcoming changes in Apple's manufacturing process.
Contradictorily, a report by iNews24 claims that Samsung and Apple - the two rival companies have still not begun the separation process on mobile displays. It quotes Samsung president Kim Ki-nam saying "not necessarily true."
Going by earlier reports, Apple is preparing to release the iPad mini 2 with Retina display in the third quarter of 2013, together with an overhauled iPad 5 with 9.7-inch screen and iPad mini-like aesthetics.
